I am Mae Paulino, a front-end developer by profession from the Philippines. I have been a professional designer for more than 2 years now and I have always been fascinated with XHTML, CSS, and just recently, with usability, accessibility and Ruby on Rails.

I am always fascinated with clean, minimalist and fresh designs where the user will not only be captured by the design for a few seconds but it will draw them into the content of the site which is more important. When doing designs, I would like to know more about the person I will be doing the design for so I’d know in which direction I should go and what kind of palette I should use.

For me, design is not only about images and colors, it’s how you overcome constraints that are presented to you and turn it into something that other people will be able to notice and aid your users to finish the task that they have at hand.

I am keeping 2 blogs at the moment and they are Last Leaf, my personal blog; and Tech Hive, which is my work blog where I pour either my ideas on certain topics, or share my newly acquired knowledge so that other people will not have to dig deep for answers like I do most of the times.

I am a big fan of social networks, I am pretty sure that I have accounts in most of the social networks that’s being launched but I am most active in the following.
